With a length of just under one kilometer and a width of only eight to twelve meters, it offers an intimate atmosphere that is particularly noticeable in the early morning hours or outside the high season.

How to get there: The way to paradise

However, please note that access restrictions may apply during the summer months. An alternative and equally attractive option is to travel by boat from Port de Pollença or Alcúdia. These trips allow you to experience the impressive coastal landscape from a new perspective and dock directly on the beach.

• By car

Access to Playa de Formentor is via the winding MA-2210. During the summer months (01.06.-30.09.) the road is closed to private traffic between 10:00 and 22:30. During this time, we recommend using the shuttle bus line 334 from Alcúdia or Port de Pollença.

• By boat

Arriving by boat is a particularly attractive alternative. There are regular excursion boats from Port de Pollença and Alcúdia that dock directly at Playa de Formentor.

• By bike

If you’re feeling sporty, you can travel here by bike. The route from Port de Pollença to Playa de Formentor is around 6.4 kilometers long and has an average gradient of 5.9%. A stopover at the Mirador Es Colomer, which offers a breathtaking view, is particularly worthwhile.

• Don’t forget sun protection: Although the pine trees provide natural shade, additional sun protection, such as a hat or parasol, is advisable.

• Respect for nature: Playa de Formentor is located in a nature reserve. Please do not leave any garbage behind and respect the local flora and fauna.
