Vins a Biniamar: A combination of wine, music and solidarity
The church Nova de Biniamar was the venue for the event “Vins a Biniamar”, in which eight wineries participated and received a great response from the public.
The event was received with great enthusiasm by the public and provided a lively atmosphere during the four hours that the site was open. During this time, more than 1,200 wine samples were served to visitors by the eight participating wineries, including four local businesses.
Many visitors took the opportunity to take a bottle of wine home with them, as admission included a 5-euro discount voucher for wine purchases within the grounds. The participating wineries were delighted with the good atmosphere and the interest of the public to discover new wines, as well as the charm of the venue.
The evening was accompanied by the musical performance of the young Mallorcan artist Miquel Àngel. In addition, the Fundació Joan XXIII provided catering for the visitors and sold over 300 tapas. The proceeds of this action benefited the work of this organization, which supports people with intellectual disabilities.
This initiative is part of the commitment of the Municipality of Selva to the economic promotion of its community.
The event “Vins a Biniamar”, organized by Som de Mallorca in collaboration with the municipality of Selva, also received the support of Petits Cellers de Mallorca, Binissalem Denomination of Origin, Quely, Can Soler and Formatges Son Jover.
Local producers participated, including 7103 Petit Celler, Família Vicens, Ses Rotes, Los Dos Caballeros, Bodega Sa Cabana, Can Gelat, Sangria Rita and Selva Vins.
