Cabrera is located in the south of the Balearic Islands and is the smallest of the five islands of the Balearic archipelago, which is also considered a protected national park due to its almost unchanged state throughout history.<\/p>\n\n

The island was an important fishing and agricultural center in Roman times and was later used by pirates and corsairs as a base for their raids in the Mediterranean. During the Spanish Civil War it was also used as a concentration camp for political prisoners.<\/p>\n\n

Today, the island is mainly used for tourist purposes, as it attracts many visitors who want to enjoy its nature and history, thanks to its nature protection, landscape and beautiful beach.<\/p>\n\n

Since it is a protected national park, no one is allowed to change the condition of the island, let alone destroy any part of it. Those who do so nevertheless must expect a fine or criminal prosecution.<\/p>\n\n

Access to the island is not complicated, but it is necessary to obtain a permit from the National Park Cabrera Maritime-Terrestrial, which can be either a place on a tourist boat or a permit to moor your own boat.<\/p>\n\n

The prices are different. For example, if you want to join a guided tour, where the most important places are visited and explained, it costs about 40 euros. But if you want to explore the island on your own, the price is between 5 and 10 euros per person.<\/p>\n\n

In short, if you are in Mallorca, be sure to visit this place, because for its price and for everything it offers, it is a unique opportunity to learn more about the history of the archipelago and enjoy a beautiful and peaceful landscape that you will never forget.<\/p>\n\n
